Blessed :: Symphony & Thai

The holiday is almost here and there is just an event for almost everyday! Tuesday has never been this exciting, thank you Honey Bun for a fantastic night.

Sukho Thai Food was so good we had to come back. They opened up a new location on 52 Wellington St E., and their original location at 274 Parliament St is currently closed for renovation until January 2013. This new place is definitely different from the original. The place was nicely decorated, rustic and partly dimmed. In my humble opinion, I do prefer the original location. Everything felt more real there, the authentic Thai dishes belonged in that 'hood' and everything felt more easy-going.

Good thing is, the food tasted just as fabulous! We ordered the exact same items like last time - Chicken Padthai and Khao Soi with Beef, only we added a side order of Tom Yum Soup for tonight. The soup was a little bit too spicy, and it had too much green/red peppers which I personally do not enjoy. Beef was tender and flavorful, the soup-base was rich and creamy. Noodles were cooked and tasted to perfection, unlike ThaiExpress which always come out soggy and watery. We did ask if the chef from the Parliament location is here tonight since that location is closed for now, and the waiter confirmed. I think in the future I will go back to the original location to get this same quality of delicious thai food.

Honey Bun bought tickets to 'A Merry TSO Christmas!', it was a heart-warming and delightful night to remember. Toronto Symphony Orchestra presented a celebration of the holidays, filled with classic festive musics that everyone knows. Canadian comedian, Colin Mochrie, narrated The Twelve Days of Christmas, it was hilarious! I highly recommend this event for you with your friends and family.

Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed your Tuesday as much as we did.
