Kingyo :: Izakaya & Takara

Another great night dinner at an izakaya!

Kingyo has officially became one of my favorite izakayas in town! Honey Bun and I went to Kingyo this weekend, they do accept reservations 48hours ahead, but it was so last minute for us so we went as walk-ins. Though the wait was 1 hr and 15 mins, but the food were so worth it! Every dish tasted delicious and we had such a good dinner, we sure will head back with other friends.

Takowasabi :: chopped octopus and pickles marinated in wasabi flavored sauce - in your choice of cooked or raw octopus.

Mr. Sada's sea urchin shooter :: Shiso, sticky yamaimo yam, yuzu orange and sea urchin in one.

Marugo carpaccio :: thinly sliced albacore tuna carpaccio with avocado daikon and onions.

Aburi toro and avocado 2tone battera :: flamed seared tuna med-toro and avocado battera box sushi.

Stone grilled beef tongue.

Stone bowl seafood sea urchin don :: sauteed prawn, squid, scallop and salmon roe on rice with sea urchin and ginger sauce.

Pork tantan ramen :: Kingyo original recipe for very popular pork ramen.

Everything was delicious, I want to go back already. Kingyo is doing so much better than the previous Stone Grill, I hope they stay there forever. The environment is definitely much less noisy than Guu, I think a lot of people will have a more enjoyable time there.

Thanks for dropping by!

xoxo
